Thank you for making the Operation Sharehouse a HUGE success! We were able to raise over $8,000 and packaged 40,368 food bags to help feed the hungry around the world!
Judas betrayed Jesus for 30 silver coins.
During this season of Lent, you are invited to collect 30 or more silver coins (dimes, quarters, half-dollars and dollars) that will be used to purchase supplies needed to put together meal packets for families in need around the world. Plastic collection bags are available from the church office, in the narthex outside the sanctuary, and in the lobby of the CLMC.
This project is through the Stop Hunger Now program that provides meals for the hungry in impoverished parts of the world. The program works like this: Dehydrated, fortified rice-soy meals are packaged at a cost of $1.20 per bag. Each bag can feed six people! Imagine being able to feed a family of six for the price of a 20oz. soda!
