Elevate
"Watch your faith go up."
Elevate is a community of students who are taking their faith journey to the next level. The environment is pure controlled chaos that connects students with God and each other.
Grades 6 - 9
7:00 - 9:00 pm in the Youth Worship Center
on 1st, 3rd, 4th and 5th Friday nights
Resonate
"Where students gather to worship."
Resonate provides a place where students worship through modern music, prayer, interaction, meditation, holy communion and heart challenging messages.
Grades 8 - 11
7:00 - 9:00 in the Youth Worship Center
on Sunday nights
Friday Night Lite
"We're serious about having fun."
FNL is a place where students can shoot hoops, play volleyball, surf the web with friends, catch a movie, eat food, hang out with friends, and catch a healthy shot in the heart.
Grades 6 - 9
7:00 - 11:00 in the CLMC
on 2nd Friday of the month
Life Groups
"Students doing life together."
Life Groups are where students experience life together through prayer, study and friendship. They meet at times that are relevant to student life. You can joing one or start your own at any time.
Apprentices
"Break it down, hand it off, let it go."
Students are invited to work alongside our leadership teams to help bring excellence to every facet of SJUMYF. Each apprentice will join a ministry team. There they will be matched to a work area that compliments their skills and passion.
Grades 7 - 12
Leadership teams meet at various times and locations.

For students in grade 12 who have heard all the Joe talks, been on all the trips, and sung all the songs for the last 6 or 7 years. Options for rising 12th graders are: an apprenticeship on one of our ministry teams; transition into the college ministry and get the edge on college life; continue to worship on Sunday nights if that's what's working the most for you.
Sunday Morning Studies
Sunday morning studies are available for you before or after your worship experience in the Christian Life Ministry Center. You'll have the chance to engage with God's Word, meet other youth, and connect with everything going on with SJUMYF.
Confirmation Class
For 6th grade students in preparation for confirmation in church membership. Meeting time and location to be determined. Please call church office for more information.
The above recommended grades are gauged not according to where they are in school, but who they are as creations under construction. Call Joe Cox at the church office for further guidance in finding your place at St. James UMC.
